The "📝 Edit" button is used to modify an already created ready reply: to correct text, update an offer, replace instructions, or make the message clearer for the client.
This is a basic button for maintaining order in the message library. The business creates a reply once and can then improve it without creating new material from scratch.
When a user opens the settings for a ready reply and clicks "Edit," the bot explains what to do next.
Usually, the logic is as follows:
After this, the ready reply remains the same object, but its content is updated.
Space for a screenshot
You can add a screenshot from the bot with the four-step instruction: select the message, press "Edit," write new text, and save.
In business, messages quickly become outdated.
Prices, conditions, promotions, links, schedules, phrasing, service names, booking procedures, or answers to frequently asked questions change. If new messages are created every time, chaos will quickly emerge in the library.
Editing helps:
The main point: the text changes, but the logic around the message remains in place.
The "Edit" button should be used when you need to slightly or completely change the content of an already existing message.
For example:
If the message is available for regular editing, it's better to use this method.
Sometimes the original message cannot be changed directly. For example, Telegram may not allow editing an old message or a message of a specific type.
For such cases, there is an additional button at the bottom labeled "Replace."
If you click "Replace," the user can send a completely new message. After this, the old settings will be reattached to the new message:
This means the system is not just creating a new reply but transferring the logic from the old message to the new one.
Important
It’s best to use the "Replace" button only when the original message cannot be edited directly. If regular editing is available, it’s safer to try that first.
A business has a ready reply:
You can schedule a consultation through the link. The manager will respond within a day.
Over time, the team wants to make the message clearer:
Leave a request using the button below. The neuro consultant will ask a few questions, and the manager will join if clarification is needed.
Instead of creating a new reply, the owner opens the old ready reply, clicks "Edit," changes the text—and all the already set buttons, triggers, and scenarios continue to work.
If clients often receive answers about delivery, booking, consultation, or payment, it can be edited as conditions change.
Before mass sending, you can open the message, proofread the text, correct phrasing, and only then start the distribution.
If buttons, timers, and triggers are already attached to the message, editing allows you to update the text without reconfiguring the entire logic.
The "Edit" button is for carefully updating ready replies.
It helps change text without losing already configured logic. And if the old message cannot be changed directly, you can use "Replace" and reattach the settings to the new message.
